Kristen Stewart ruled the headlines this summer, after her affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders came to light.

But now she's opened up about having to deal with the bad publicity that saw her forced to issue a public apology to boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

Admitting she has made 'mistakes', the Twilight star said the affair had made her want to lock herself up in her hotel room rather than face the backlash.

Kristen initially kept quiet about the cheating scandal, but according to The Sun has now opened up about the effect it had on her life.

Asked about how she dealt with the bad press, the 22-year-old star said: 'You have to be OK with your own fears.'

'If you’re an honest person you’ll make mistakes, but that’s when the most interesting things happen.'

She continued: 'I used to just stay in my hotel room rather than deal with everything, but if you get too caught up in what others think you become a really disjointed person.'

So hotel heiress Paris Hilton had to make sure she would stand out from the crowd by looking picture perfect in her snow bunny outfit.

The socialite, 30, opted for 'snow chic' in an all-white snow suit and fur hat as she enjoyed a morning skiiing with her father Rick.

In fact the outfit was a gift from ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, who she was dating at the time.

She also made sure she had her iPod charged up to play songs while she whizzed down the slopes.

Justin Bieber has obviously never heard of the saying 'pets are for life' with the singer giving away his hamster to a fan backstage at his concert on Wednesday.

It seems while the 18-year-old may have penned a song As Long As You Love Me, for his pets its more a case of as long as I can be bothered.

And, in Pac the hamster's case, that meant only for a few months as the Beauty And The Beat singer got his furry friend in October.

The Canadian star handed of the hamster to a random fan following his performance at the Jingle Ball in Atlanta on Wednesday.

In a video obtained by TMZ a shirtless Bieber approaches the fence behind the Phillip Arena handing over Pac in a cage.

The singer can be heard making the girl promise to do what he didn't: 'You gotta take care of PAC.'

The fan - who has now been identified as Victoria Blair - replies:

'I will take care of him.'

The hamster - who has his own Twitter page - had appeared in a number of Justin's Instagram pictures after the star first introduced Pac to his fans on October 20, and promised to bring his pet with him to every meet and greet.

Since receiving world's most usual celebrity keepsake, Victoria has been dedicated to the creature posting photographs on her Twitter account of her and the hamster going to the pet shop, having play and nap time and exploring his new home.

On her twitter Victoria explained she did not do anything out of the ordinary to become the enviable new pet owner.

'I waited outside after the concert and he just gave it to me!!!,' the young fan, a singer herself, tweeted.

But her new pet has also come with a whole lot of baggage for Victoria.

After news spread of Justin's decision to give away his pet, Victoria's Twitter followers exploded and she is now followed by more than 10,000 other Bieber fans.

Justin gift also caused some jealousy amongst other Bielebers, who sent her negative comments.

'And I have some haters now but it's okay I'm a strong girl and Justin chose me for a reason!' Victoria wrote.

Despite vowing to bring the hamster with him everywhere, Justin's friend and director Alfredo Flores - who is on tour with the star - explained on Twitter it was just a case of the singer and his furry friend needing a 'break'.

'PAC will be missed but it's time for a break,' the director tweeted.

'You will be great in the hands of that wonderful girl. Thanks for all the great memories.'

The Biebs is not an animal hater however, as the singer went as far as having an owl tattooed on his arm recently.

Talking to Ellen DeGeneres the day after he gave his hamster up, the singer revealed why he got the new bird ink.

'It signifies wisdom, the wise owl,' the 18-year-old told the talk show host.

'I like classic, classic tattoos and I looked in this book of classic tattoos and it was one of the owls and the detail was really great.'

The owl is Bieber's eighth tattoo, and his sixth of this year.

The singer has the word 'Believe' tattooed on him as well as a crown, the Japanese Kanji symbol for music, an image of Jesus and the Hebrew word for Jesus and a small outline of a bird on his left hip.

Ellen joked that the Japanese symbol for music - which the teen star accidentally calls Chinese - looks like a toaster.

Animal lover or not, Justin is not the only celeb to give up their pet after just a few months.

Sadly earlier this month the four month old kitten had to be put down as it became ill due to hereditary health issues.

Specifically: The campaign includes “a multimillion-dollar fund to support the singer’s chosen creative projects.” So… more documentaries about Beyoncé? Well, maybe — according to the Times, these collaborations could include “live events, videos, ‘a cool photo shoot’ or almost anything else.”

“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Sasha Fierce’s alter ego said in a statement, no doubt thinking of this classic commercial featuring Britney Spears. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.” Jessie Eisenberg’s sister definitely agrees.

Though all this language about creativity may seem disingenuous, there is some precedent to PepsiCo acting as a patron for artistic endeavors; as the Times points out, the company has released free music by indie acts like Matt & Kim through its Mountain Dew-financed label Green Label Sound. And it’s not like art and commerce have never intersected before. So I’m looking forward to what Bey’s big contract really leads to — beyond ads and Pepsi cans emblazoned with her flawless face. Maybe the superstar should see if her husband orher sister have any cool ideas?

While news of their split is devastating, Us Weekly goes on to say that there is hope for a reconciliation.

“They are [young] . . . it changes from day to day. Right now it is a break and tomorrow it could be back on knowing them . . . it’s hard to say how they will end up,” the source says. “Maybe she feels more serious about it this time. We’ll see.”

Miley Cyrus' dog Lila has died. She was two. The singer is not taking it well.

She took to Twitter today to break the tragic news about Lila to her fans, writing, "My heart has never been so broken. Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away."

"Can't think of one good reason to get out of bed today."

Miley Cyrus is having a really ruff day ... because her super cute pooch Lila has officially checked in to the big dog park in the sky.

Miley took to Twitter moments ago to break the tragic news to her fans, tweeting ... "My heart has never been so broken. Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away."

She added, "Can't think of one good reason to get out of bed today."

It's unclear how Lila kicked the can, but she was only two years old.

Lila is survived by Cyrus' other pooches ... Ziggy, Penny Lane, and Mary Jane ... just to name a few.

'I just want her to be OK': Lindsay Lohan's new fitness trainer boyfriend Josh Chunn says he is the 'best influence' in her life

She's been through a tumultuous time of late, but it would seem Lindsay Lohan has finally got a stabilising influence in her life.

After her father Michael Lohan hinted the troubled star had a new boyfriend earlier this week, fitness trainer Josh Chunn has confirmed the couple are dating.

The 25-year-old hunk claimed with his clean-living lifestyle, he is the 'best influence' on the actress right now.

He told the New York Daily News: 'I’ve been trying to get Lindsay to focus. But how do you get her to focus with all the stuff going on around her? I can barely focus. She's a strong girl. She's cleaning up. I just want her to be OK.'

However, Josh admitted Michael put him in an 'awkward place' when he attempted to stage a dramatic emergency intervention at Lindsay's Beverly Hills home in the hope of persuading her to go to rehab.

After asking the showbiz patriarch to leave when police appeared on the scene responding to claims of trespassing, Josh explained he understands her father is 'just out to help her'.

But the same cannot be said for the rest of the 26-year-old star's pals, in Josh's opinion.

He said: 'I think I’m the best influence on her. The deal is she is surrounded by a bunch of f**k-ups.

'I’m there for Lindsay. I listen. I work hard for my money. I pay my own bill when we go out. I have a schedule.

'That’s the problem with these kids in L.A., they don’t have a schedule. All they want to do is party.

The couple first met at the home of a mutual friend, before bumping into each other once again at a recent party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel.

Despite his awkward meeting with Michael, Josh has apparently had the seal of approval from his girlfriend's father.

'It's all about her father obsessed with making a name for himself in the news once again. It's sad and I hope he stops masquerading as her father in public and starts acting like one in private.'

Lindsay is expected to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday to answer charges that she fled the scene of a car accident outside a New York hotel on September 19.
